If you are suffering from back pain then Melanie our Natural Chiropractor in Chelmsford may be able to help.

Finding the root cause of your back pain

Lower back pain can stem from many causes;  these can include poor posture, lifting and carrying, stress, sitting badly, osteoarthritis to general wear and tear.

After a case history and examination Melanie will aim to find the root cause of your problem, she will discuss your problem and treatment options with you and devise the best way to get you back to better health.  If x-rays, MRI or referral to a specialist is appropriate then Melanie is able to arrange this.

What is back pain?

Our body is supported by the spine and its muscles, the spine carries our spinal cord and nervous system. Injury and strain over time can lead to restriction, damage and local inflammation to the spinal joints, muscles and discs between the vertebrae which can lead  to irritation of the spinal nerves. Once the nerves are irritated this may cause pain elsewhere in the body such as sciatica or pins and needles in the legs or arms.

People are often told by their doctor they have “arthritis” or it is “wear and tear” but these conditions don’t have to be painful and with chiropractic care can often be alleviated.

Back pain can  be very painful and limiting to your life. It is not uncommon for people to live with pain and gradually lose the ability to do what they used to do. Our patients often say; “I wish I’d come sooner, I can do so much more now, I thought I had to live with the pain.”

If you are suffering from neck pain then Melanie our Natural Chiropractor in Chelmsford may be able to help.

Finding the root cause of your neck pain

Modern life can take its toll on our necks. Our lifestyles often mean that we are sitting at desks for long periods of time, leaning forward to look at computer screens, over reaching or lifting and carrying. Our neck also has to work hard in supporting the weight of our heads.

This can all lead to poor posture, muscle tension, strain and injury to the joints, muscles or nerves in the neck, shoulders or upper back. This can cause neck pain, headaches, migraines and pain across the shoulders and upper back.

Normal movement to the joints between the vertebrae can be restored with chiropractic treatment and associated soft tissue therapy, medical acupuncture, exercise  and lifestyle advice. The outcome being relief from discomfort and pain.

If you are in a great deal of pain and discomfort at the moment or you just want to get rid of a niggle that has been bothering you, then you have come to the right place!
